The Breeding Value project was recently featured in the Italian business, research, and innovation journal, Platinum.

The article highlights the project’s objectives, emphasising its innovative approaches and potential impact on berry health, sustainable cultivation, and rural development.

Prof. Bruno Mezzetti, the Breeding Value Coordinator, also discusses recent achievements, including the successful combination of quality traits from currently cultivated berry varieties with those of the recently abandoned variations. He further highlights the development of advanced tools on genomics as well as innovative tools for phenotypic characterization with image analysis techniques for measuring berry quality.
